I went to the Eugene Celebration today to volunteer at
Next Step's booth. I had fun and hope to go again next year (I should have more spending money then as well).
Arcimoto:NSR's booth was in an area called 'Sustainability Village'. A few yards down was a booth set up by a local EV company,
Arcimoto. They are working on a vehicle called the 'Pulse'. They currently have four working prototypes, and are building a fifth. They HOPE to start selling production models sometime next year. They had the G-III and G-IV at the booth. I sat inside the G-III and found it to be quite roomy (for the driver, anyway).
G-IV Info:
Range: 40 miles
Top Speed: 70mph
Possible base price: $17,500
Seating: 2
Wheels: 3
Charge Time: 5-7 hours
Want: MAXIMUM
When they build them, pink better be a colour option.
Lunch:I stopped by a food cart simply called 'Noodles & Rice'. I got myself some yakisoba noodles with teriyaki chicken. I learned that I like yakisoba. Too bad the feeling doesn't seem to be mutual... *urp*
Voodoo:I stopped by
Voodoo Doughnut and bought an 'Old Dirty Bastard'. Your basic doughnut roll, glazed with chocolate frosting, crushed Oreos, and peanut butter. WELL worth the $1.75 I paid.
Blackout:Most of the downtown area went without power due to an
underground explosion. D:
I really wish I had a camera so that I could have taken some pictures.
I HEARD it though, but didn't think much of it at the time (they were taking down a concert stage, and I just assumed that the 'boom' was them knocking something over). And later I could smell burnt wiring.
